ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT: Performance/installation
All Day and All Night draws together elements of video, text, audio and the moving body—both real and virtual—creating a working space for a fictional art work; a yet to be completed meditation on the sublime. The installation considers what leads the creative process and where revelation might lie. Through multi-media iterations and live performed enactments, All Day and All Night instigates a search for the initial point of inspiration and creative starting point, stretching it out over time to uncover the inherent poetics within.

HUMAN VERSION: Short work / Pieces for Small Spaces
Human Version is a short work created for Lucy Guerin Inc’s Pieces for Small Spaces. In response to the theme of environmentally sustained arts practices, Parker asked what might happen to the body and movement in the face of a radical scarcity of energy and resources. Will our inability to reduce consumption and our impact on the environment turn back upon our own human capacities, to the point that our expressive potential and movement functions are rationalised?

THREE FRAMES Exhibition and live performance
Three Frames explores the nature of time and movement as influenced by cinema and photography. Using these forms as tools for abstraction, through carefully manipulated and reworked singular actions and gestures, the work considers how the body occupies choreographed time and duration in the “here and now”, while carrying a trajectory that moves beyond the present.

LIVE VIEW Performance / sound
Live View presents a series of precise, still movement frames, creating a dialogue with sculpture and photography while avoiding the tropes of movement, continuity and fluidity favoured by choreography. Using the tools of performance and recorded sound, delivered via headphones, the work arrests action, enabling the full implications of each singular moment to be revealed in the imagination of the viewer.
