The Recording is a full-length performance about making a film. A dynamic collaboration with leading Australian and International artists, the stage becomes a film set as cast and crew are placed on stage together. Three performers prepare for, rehearse and perform scenes based on 'actor movement' while the trick of immersive, full-blown cinematic soundscapes and emotional, dramatic lighting transform the action – a rehearsal becomes cinema – but what happens when the scene is over?
The Recording is planned to premiere in 2012.
