The two duets (Kelly-Ann and Sue) each feature two young female characters who ‘float through passages of sexual self-discovery’ (The Herald Sun). The works are ‘…abstract yet accessible, with traces of pubescent angst and burgeoning sexuality’ (The Herald Sun).

Murray-Anderson exemplifies Sandra Parker’s choreographic art. The pieces display her highly individual and refined movement aesthetic. Her pleasure in the detailed subtlety of the body is brought to the fore in Sue and Kelly-Ann, as memories of adolescence are pondered and explored.
